Kids Books for Questions about Coronavirus

Depending on the age of your children, your kids may have noticed a big shift in their daily life. My 8 year old can understand a lot of what's going on in the world, and she's adapted quite well (although she misses school). My toddler didn't notice change at first, and then started having a hard time a few weeks after being at home a lot. He was asking about his friends a lot and struggled with us telling him we couldn't play at the playground. Luckily, my 6 month old is just along for the ride!

We love reading books together, and it's a great way to help children process their emotions during this time. I came across this great article from The New York Times, "Answering Kids’ Questions About the Coronavirus, in Free Picture Books." During this crisis, publishers and non-profits are finding ways to easily get materials to children at home. The article outlines some great child friendly coronavirus literature resources available to families. I hope you're all staying well!
